The very first question: how long have you not been progressing? Muscle growth isn’t linear. Over a month, it’s normal to see sessions that seem to stall or even slip backward. Over three months with zero sign of progress — in load, reps, or execution quality — that’s a real plateau.

Concretely, you’re plateaued if all of the following are simultaneously true:

  • You’re using the same weights on the same exercises for more than 6 sessions
  • You’re not gaining reps at constant load, or load at constant reps
  • You sense the same effort but nothing is moving

Fix
